Icon Builders Inc. is a leading construction company specializing in commercial, residential and institutional projects. We are currently seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Site Supervisor. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of construction standards and procedures, demonstrating the ability to effectively manage both the site and office environment.
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations at construction sites, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, safety regulations and budget management.
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities, including material delivery, equipment usage, and subcontractor work, to ensure efficient progress and timely completion of projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to interpret construction plans and specifications, providing guidance and support throughout the construction process.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess work progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and incident reports.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, implementing necessary measures to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction supervision (commercial industry preferred) or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of construction standards, codes, and regulations.
- Post secondary diploma or related skilled trade certification.
- Safety Trainings and Certifications are preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, demonstrating the ability to handle unexpected challenges on-site.
- Proficient in using construction management software and computer applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various construction sites as required.
